Uninstall Windows 10 and 11 updates

You must normally keep Windows 10 and 11 up to date to avoid compatibility issues and security breaches. Unfortunately, updates aren't always flawless and may cause problems on rare occasions. If we inform you that a Windows 10 or 11 update is harming GEM-CAR, you might have to uninstall it. To do so, follow the instructions below.

Windows 10

  1. From the Start menu, open Settings and go to Update & Security.
  2. On the Windows Update tab, go to View update history.
  3. Select Uninstall updates.
  4. Select an update on the list and then select Uninstall.

Windows 11

  1. Right-click the Start button and select Settings.
  2. On the Windows Update tab, under More options, go to Advanced options.
  3. Go to Uninstall updates.
  4. Select an update on the list and then select Uninstall.
