How to send estimates by e-mails with custom a message and signature?

GEM-CAR can be configured to send e-mails with a custom message and a signature. Follow the steps below to configure and use this feature.

Custom message and signature for estimates

Follow the steps below to configure a custom message and a signature for the e-mails you send to customers.

  1. In the GEM-CAR Main menu, go to Configuration > General information.
  2. From the General information window, click on the Messages and agenda tab.
  3. Select the language from the Language drop-down menu.
  4. Enter the personalized message and the signature in the Email message field (press ctrl + enter to make returns while typing the message).
  5. Click on the diskette button to save.
  6. Repeat from step 3 to configure a personalized message and a signature for another language. general-information-messages-and-links-custom-message-for-emails

Now that customized messages and a signatures have been added in English and French, when you send an e-mail, it will be sent in accordance with the language set in the customer’s profile.

Configuration of the language in the customers’ profile

Follow the steps below to configure the language in the Customer management window. It must be set up on a customer by customer basis.

  1. From the GEM-CAR Main menu, go to Customer management > Customer management. You can alternatively access it from the Point of sale by clicking on the magnifying glass button adjacent to the customer’s name. customer-magnifying-glass-button
  2. From the Customer management window, select the customer on the list.
  3. Click on the Additional Information tab.
  4. Select the language in the Communication drop-down menu.
