Tires products

Tires are frequently sold products and have a unique configuration in the inventory. In the subsections below, you will find the information on how to configure tire categories and products.

Configure tire categories

To configure tire categories, follow the guidelines below.

  1. In the Product/Job categories management window, create or edit a category.
  2. Enter a Category code and a Description and select TIRES using the Category type drop-down menu.
  3. Select Inventory follow-up, Allow product purchases, and Post on the work order.
  4. Select the Diskette to save.

Configure tire products

To configure tire products, follow the guidelines below.

  1. In the Product/Job code management window, create or edit a product.
  2. Enter a tire Category code and a Product code.
  3. On the Tire tab, first use the drop-down menus to select the characteristics that best describe the tire product or enter new ones in the fields. Then, select the Tire button to automatically populate the Description field.
  4. Enter the cost price in the Inventory cost field and the sale price in the List price field.
  5. Select the Diskette to save.
