Maintenance of users

In this user manual, you will find the information regarding the Maintenance of users window. In this window, you can add, edit and delete GEM-CAR users. Users are persons allowed to use the software. Therefore, usernames and passwords are mandatory to log into GEM-CAR at the start-up of the application. Furthermore, user profiles are also used for other configurations such as security accesses. To access the Maintenance of users window, from the GEM-CAR Main menu go to Configuration > Password management.

Add users

To add new GEM-CAR user profiles, follow the steps below.

  1. Access the Maintenance of users window.
  2. Click on the + button.
  3. Enter the required information in the configuration fields.
  4. Click on the diskette button to save.

Edit users

To edit GEM-CAR user profiles, follow the steps below.

  1. Access the Maintenance of users window.
  2. Select a user on the list.
  3. Edit the information in the configuration fields.
  4. Click on the diskette button to save.

Delete users

To delete GEM-CAR user profiles, follow the steps below.

  1. Access the Maintenance of users window.
  2. Select a user on the list.
  3. Click on the - button.
  4. Click on the diskette button to save.

Configuration options

Name: Name of the user displayed in GEM-CAR.

Advisor: Four-digit advisor number used by GEM-CAR.

User: Username to log into GEM-CAR at start-ups.

Password: Password to log into GEM-CAR at start-ups.

E-mail for estimates and invoices: Individual e-mail to send estimates and invoices.

Is an administrator: When this option box is checked, the user has administrator rights. This means this user can modify the configuration of GEM-CAR and has full security access rights.
