Schedule settings: Tags

Tags are useful to add information to appointments that is not natively supported by the application. For example, it could be for customers needing shuttles or curtesy vehicles or any other relevant information. To configure tags, in the GEM-CAR 2022 Main menu, go to Schedule > Settings and select Tags.

Refresh

Before making any change, select Refresh to avoid concurrency conflicts.

Add tags

To add tags, follow the instructions below.

  1. Select the + (plus) button.
  2. Configure the options and select Apply to save.

Edit tags

To edit tags, follow the instructions below.

  1. Select Edit on the top-right corner of the badges.
  2. Configure the options and select Apply to save.

Delete tags

To delete tags, follow the instructions below.

  1. Select Edit on the top-right corner of the badges.
  2. Select the Trash can button.

GEM-CAR won't let you delete tags currently used in the Calendar. Once they aren't used anymore, you can delete them.

Configure tags

Follow the guidelines below to configure tags.

  • Code: Enter a code name for the tag. We suggest that it be short and in capitals. It won't show in the Calendar.
  • Name: Enter a name for the tag for all languages. One of them will show in the Calendar according to the display language. If you only use one language, enter the same name for all languages.
  • Description: Enter a description for the tag for all languages. If you only use one language, enter the same description for all languages.
  • Category: To associate the tag with a category, select the category using this drop-down menu. Otherwise, leave it empty.
  • Time marker: To associate the tag with a time marker, select the time marker using this drop-down menu. Otherwise, leave it empty.
  • Active: Turn this toggle on to enable this tag in the Calendar. Turn it off to disable the tag without deleting it. See Active objects management for more information.
